Cut a Path with the Scissors Tool

The Scissors tool can cut paths.

To activate the Scissors tool, tap on the Scissors icon in the Tools panel.

To split a path, tap on the path at the point where it should be cut. You can cut the path at any point.

Modifier Keys and Shortcut Summary

With an external keyboard, you can use the following shortcut and modifier keys.

Shortcut:

• C activates the Scissors tool.

Scissors tool modifier keys:

• Space switches to the Pan mode.
• Command switches to either Move or Selection tool depending on which of them was active most recently.
