Mastering Grids in Amadine

If you’ve ever worked with a square grid in Amadine, you’ve used what’s called a Standard grid. Now Amadine offers more advanced grid types — Isometric, Isometric 2, Dimetric, Trimetric, and Diagonal grids — to help you design with professional precision and depth. To activate a grid, open the Grid menu and click the eye icon to make it visible. Then toggle Snap to Grid to have your shapes perfectly align as you work.   • Trimetric Left / Right grids:

  • Diagonal grid:
    Lines run diagonally to support angled compositions and dynamic layouts.

Designers often choose the Isometric grid to create a realistic 3D look within a 2D workspace.

Here’s how to set it up in Amadine for Mac:

  1. Open Document Setup via the File menu.
  2. Enable Grid Visibility under the View menu.
  3. Choose Isometric or Isometric 2 from the grid options.
  4. Adjust the Spacing and Subdivisions to match your design needs.
  5. Check Show Grid in Background to keep it visible behind your artwork.
  6. Turn on Snap to Grid (View→Snap to Grid) for perfect alignment.
