Using Grids in Amadine on iPads and iPhones
Grids are one of the most valuable tools in vector design—they help you align elements, maintain proportional spacing, and build projects with precision. In Amadine for iPhone and iPad, you can choose from multiple grid styles to support everything from clean layout work to dynamic isometric illustrations. This tutorial walks you through how grids work in Amadine on iOS and shows you how to customize them for your design needs.
To turn the grid on and off, tap the Document icon in the Inspector. Then in the Document panel, tap the eye icon next to Grid to toggle visibility. To automatically align shapes to grid lines, enable Snap to Grid.
Choosing and customizing grid types is easy. In Amadine for iPhone and iPad, you can switch between several grid modes—each designed for a different creative purpose:
- Classic Grid
A familiar square-based layout that works best for precise alignment, interface design, wireframes, and structured compositions. - Isometric & Isometric 2 Grids
Angled grid lines set at 30° allow you to simulate depth and volume, making these grids well suited for flat illustrations that need a three-dimensional feel—from icons to game assets and product visuals. - Dimetric Grid
Featuring two equal axes and one with a different angle, this grid is especially helpful for technical visuals and schematic-style designs. - Trimetric Grids (Left & Right)
With all three axes scaled differently, these grids create strong perspective and visual drama, ideal for expressive or stylized artwork. - Diagonal Grid
Designed around angled guide lines, this grid supports dynamic layouts and compositions that move beyond traditional horizontal and vertical structures.
Best tips for Working with grids on iOS:
- Combine grid types depending on your design needs: choose Standard for layouts and Isometric for perspective drawings.
- Toggle snapping on when you want precision alignment, and turn it off when you’re freeform sketching.
- Fine-tune grid settings as your canvas evolves—denser grids can help with detailed designs, while looser ones are ideal for broader layouts.
With Amadine’s flexible grid system on iPhone and iPad, you can design confidently—knowing every element sits exactly where you want it. Start experimenting with different grid types today and unlock new creative possibilities.
